At the 2006 Golden Globes, Scarlett Johansson was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Match Point. It was her fourth nomination in the space of three years. A former child star best known for films like Ghost World and The Horse Whisperer, Johansson had broken out in a major way in 2003 thanks to the one-two whammy of Girl with a Pearl Earring and Lost in Translation. Now, she was everywhere, both a critical darling and an increasing commercial success. On top of that, she was considered the great sex symbol of the moment. Director and regular collaborator Woody Allen heralded her as both “beautiful” and “sexually overwhelming.” She was only 21.

While on the red carpet for the Globes, she was interviewed by Isaac Mizrahi, the former fashion designer turned commentator for the E! network. Focusing on Johansson's red Valentino gown, he wanted to know if there was a bra underneath. Johansson told him "it's all built in." He then decided to squeeze her left breast, saying, "I'm just taking notes for the next time I make a..." before Johansson cut him off. "What is going on?!" she asked, trying to laugh off the awkwardness, before adding. "Absolutely, take all the notes you want.”
