I'm hoping that Aronofsky is doing this movie because he loves to depict people laid low by their own hubris and growing paranoia/hysteria. If that's the case then I'd want a lead actor that doesn't come with a lot of audience-granted pathos. I love Brendan Frasier's work, but casting him is going to confer some goodwill onto the Musk character that he doesn't deserve. Let's see someone else get Weird in this role.

That's a very fair point, although I do think that Fraser is capable of sleaze. Again, The Good American rises and falls on his ability to drop the charm and become a self-serving brute. But honestly, I do think anyone playing Elon has a thankless task ahead of them. See also whoever plays Grimes.
